Lost all my OS X sounds with Flyakite

I've always modified all my system files manually but about a week ago I decided to install Flyakite 2.0.

Everything has been working well up until today - on booting up, all my lovely OS X sounds had gone and now I'm stuck with crummy XP sounds.

Is there anyway to get the sounds back without having to uninstall and reinstall Flyakite?

I can't find anywhere it stores the sound files to change them manually.

Also, on the subject of Flyakite, does it change the system fonts? I've noticed that since installing all my fonts look really jagged and lousy, even with cleartype enabled.

no, it doesn't make fonts jaggy. just try reinstalling flyakite and see if your sounds will be replaced to the os theme.

But before reinstalling Flyakite, go to Start MenuProgramsFlyakiteOSXFlyakiteOSX Settings and see if there is the box "Iceman Sounds" checked.

AAH! Thanks a lot. I use Objectbar with customized menus and I never thought to look at the real start menu for options. Enabling Iceman sounds got all my sounds back now.

does flyakite uses the type1 "lucidagrande" font? if so, this font looks really jaggy on screen.

it cud be this font.

I've replaced the font with another version of Lucida Grande and it's still the same so I'm not sure what the problem is. All other fonts look really smooth.

Could you explain what the type 1 font is?

hmm. a certain type of font type by Adobe if im not wrong as opposed to ttf (truetype font)

supposed to be extra sharp and all but im still having problems with its jagginess.

you have to bear in mind that Lucida Grande != LucidaGrande. The diff is slight but they are totally 2 different fonts.

what visual style are u using?

The lucida Grande font I'm using is a true type font. I got it from Iceman's Emulation page.

The theme I'm using is Xero's Mac OS X Tiger Windowblinds Theme.
