Pretty bold words for a kid who isn't old enough to be on these forums...
iPhoto 5 for Windows
I know where I heard that you were banned, I heard it from myself since I am the one who banned you a little over an hour ago.
Exactly my thoughts ... twelve year old kid with attorney and negotiating with apple to distribute an app original from them using some files that were token down already by them .. kinda weird , isn't it ? :sPretty bold words for a kid who isn't old enough to be on these forums...
Knew there was something fishy, I mean you bundle aqua controls which themeselves are illegal (no offense jeff, I love your work!), I doubt apple legal would allow you to even continue, as the only iphoto look alike they would alllow (standalone program not skin) would be their own port.
btw. what are aqua controls and why are they illegal ?
this smells funny
@Duckie
Indeed, lol
I was just wondering why Alang let this guy to be a moderator on OSX-E after the new site was established.
But anyway, the story of iPhoto for Windows, is the story of:
-Transfering files from one server to another
-Us being informed that there are negotiations with Apple
-Continuous changing of the "author's" login after a couple of bans
-Us being informed that "My Dad's an Attorney" and he's going to bla bla bla
lol

Because at that time, I do not know that he's using aqua control and he convince me enough in his pm that he deserved to be a mod. But as soon as I know it, I demote him and watch his move closely. I did close a few topic on my forum when he did mention about "his iphoto2" and he said that apple already unban aqua control.
I'm really doubt that he create the iphoto2 because the application look very similar to iphoto for windows that I found somewhere on the net 2 yrs ago. Anyone recall that?
@ unbeliever - yes, he's using aqua control in iphoto2, and you can see both the iphoto and aquacontrol in his site
Now all the links work...but are there aqua controls on the iphoto 5 your working on?
can anyone tell me the size of iPhoto 2 for windows cause i can`t dload it?
also can someone post a SS of the exe's propertie's version tab?
6.05 mb totalcan anyone tell me the size of iPhoto 2 for windows cause i can`t dload it?
Also, iphoto 2 looks really nice, not fully functional, but it looks very nice...Is iphoto 5 going to have all the features of iphoto 5 for mac?
what does exe's properties version tab say?
Guess what? - redistributing Aqua controls is not allowed in the forums, so links to your site will be removed unless AC are not there.
I dont know if iPhoto for windows 5 will include aqua controls, but let me tell you this - if it does, there is no way apple would have "signed" a permission for you to release it and you are encouraged to prove me wrong.
I am not closing the thread yet, but i might if iPhoto for windows 5 comes with Aqua Controls.
No links to your site until youve removed the controls please.

The Links Have Been Removed

Hmm, the link is still there Seph, in the 1st post
honestly you windows people are quite lucky not to have that steaming pile of crap that is iphoto5 for osx. yes... it does run slightly better on tiger but come on apple. But I am really really missing picasa 2 which does nearly everything iphoto can and more. Picasa should be iphoto.
All that being said... I hope the "porting" goes well although i do find it a bit sketchy that a 12 year old has legal connections with appple :S
@AlanG, thanks for the heads up - removed those.
@BZ, Agreed 100% - Id give you iPhoto for Picassa any day, windows users.
His iPhoto 2 (build 470) is Stash's!
Oh, its already posted at osx-e, but I knew this for a long time.
You can find the original version at zdnet.be and search for iphoto.
P.S. I've had this app since december.
BABYA LIVES!*cough* why isn't this thread closed yet? *cough*
exactly what i was thinking myself...
Because he hasnt actually released the app yet and thus there are no aqua controls in it. If he does so, the thread will be closed.
I have removed links to his site and he is now warned. If he still decides to post without making sure there are no aqua controls involved he will be banned.
I should make an app and base it on the Windows 3.1 program manager...
OH WAIT!
That's already been done--BABYA!

These dates are to change and update, possibley be pushed back, and maybe forward.
