new nescape browser. opinions?

head to www.netscape.com for a new download of nescape. it's based on firefox 1.0 and it is aimed at filling in the gaps of firefox, trying to make it even better. i used it, and it's not a bad browser, but it's pretty chunky in terms of user interface. wonder if somebody can make this into a perfect safari clone. :slant:

They really should have updated it to the 1.04 build to include the security fixes. Nice to see that Netscape is sitll there, however I think that Firefox has left them in the dust. As you said the interface is a bit chunky. Anyone know if it can use Firefox Extensions?

I have always felt a deep hatred towards Netscape - god was it a pain in the culo in the days of 50% IE and 50% Netscape

i really do like it, indeed i use Netscape for more than 10 years so i m still a fan!

I would not recommend using this. Theyve found no less than 44 bugs and security hazards in the final release, moreover it ruins internet explorer

Besides, it has one of the ugliest interfaces I have ever had the misfortune to see.

Stay away. Use firefox instead.

Netscape shouldnt release it so fast!

I think I'll just stick to Firefox.. even on the mac.

yikes indeed i'm going to continue using firefox then. '

I've so far avoided it.

I was around when a co-worker tried it out. Clunky from what I've seen, I'll stick with Firefox for now.
