microsoft's own site not working right with IE?

is it just me that this is not right... go to this link:

click on the link "start the timeline" to the right side.

i did it first with firefox and it worked fine. the scrolling was a little quick so i loaded it up in IE, but now there's no arrows to navigate through the timeline... notice the screenshot.

how did this illogical blunder occur??
