[Release] 100 % transparent .ICO for Firefox to Safari mod

Ever wanted to make you Firefox mod look more like Safari, but were still stuck with an app icon in the title bar?

Well here you go.

I have created a 100% transparent icon that you can use to replace the default icon in firefox.

It contains 16x16, 32x32 and 48x48 formats so you won't get a black box due to a missing icon size.

Just use resource hacker and replace Icon group 32512 and save it.

No more app icon in title bar. Get the icon here. (right click and save as)

Screenshot: no more lame icon.

Enjoy!

I might be mistaken, but isn't ICO 32512 the one responsible for program icon and taskbar icon? I don't think ICO 0 handles that - it is the main application icon for use in Explorer windows/Start Menu.

EDIT: I just did another test... you only need to replace Icon Group 32512.

You can leave group 1 alone if you like.

Looks like group 1 is for Explorer and start menu shortcuts.

Group 32512 is for the titlebar and taskbar icon.

Don't know why I didn't catch this in my first test... anyway... enjoy.

Thx Relativity

theres a much easier way here... http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/tips#app_icon

and i think everyone can handle making a transparent icon.

That's actualy not a bad idea, but if it's so simple, how come I continue to see so many request for how to get rid of it?

And apparently not everyone knows how to make a proper transparent icon.
