Scale Independant Template: Personal Site

Hello, fellow beings of the human persuasion,

I'm going to be doing a big fat site refactoring as soon as I'm done with college; I made a small page with a css layout that tries to be as semantically relevant as possible without losing visual quality and usability.

I managed to implement a sliding-doors type set up for the whole page, making it possible to scale the text and its layout without restrictions. It works fairly well within reason, And I'm pretty happy with it. Unfortunately, this resulted in a tasty bowl of

soup. eat up!

Anyone have any general "visual" or codular suggestions?

Can someone reccomend a *simple* CMS that can do things like manage all the different pages of the site, plus a news page?

okay, that's really weird. On my pc, everything looks fine with all the images matching up properly.

on a mac, in safari, the layout is OK, but the bottom right corner background image appears lighter than the others. What the greasy poop is going on here?

Same discrepancy shows up in Firefox too :(

maybe its one of those color calibration issues. Don't know much about that, though...

I have to make sure I save them all with the same command, I guess.

--- Fixed, I think ---
