Specific Windows Interface Enhancements -- Start Menu, Icons, Menus, Dock, etc.

Maybe these questions are a little elementary, but if anyone can answer any of them I'd appreciated it.

1. I understand how to change the max size of the icons now thanks to tweakxp.com, and IconPackager let's me use cool icons...but how exactly are the modified icons in these two links used?

http://www.deviantart.com/view/17625638/ -- This Tiger theme by a person named "-kol" has unusually enhanced icons too.

(note: the thought occured to me that this could have something to do with AveDesk. Is that right?)

2. The start menus in -kol's theme, and in this one:

Have the right column of the start menu items displayed without text. How exactly do you do that?

3. Dobee's Tiger 2 theme in #2. How does he hide the menu bar on explorer windows? I understand how to move bars like in the Orange Tiger theme, but I can't see them in the Tiger 2 theme at all.

4. What kind of dock does everyone prefer? ObjectDock seems kind ...er, slow. So does RKLauncher. MobyDock's taskbar has blurred icons in the taskbar section but doesn't seem too bad. YzDock seems to be a bit outdated, lacks features, etc.

5. For anyone here who used/uses YzDock, how come even after I reconfigure the system icons with IconPackager, when I drag stuff to YzDock it still uses default XP icons?

6. I'm not sure how to describe this, but I think I've seen some kind of addon/utility that allows your Dock to have "tabbed" sections. I'm not even sure if I'm describing that right, but I can't find it anywhere on these forums anymore, and I'm beginning to wonder if I ever really saw it.

7. What is something on the front page called "True Launch Bar?" And where can I find out about it?

By hard disk's modified/enhanced icons... I guess ur talking about changed icons of hard drives & other *system* locations... yes it's pretty easy... you can change them using the Icon Packager you're using... download IconPacks for IconPackager and apply them or manually change icons... IconPackager gives options to change system icons also.

--I actually meant, why do the desktop icons in those pictures have extra features? Like, the hard drive one displays the label names and has the current free space displayed with it.

i've a compact menu creator, it's original by WindowsX but I can't find it's link on the web... PM me with ur e-mail... if you want to have it... I'll mail u the ZIP/RAR of it...

It actually creates compaq startmenu visual styles by patching BMPs in full start menu visual styles.

.... it works on 80% visualstyles out there.... it's good tool, especially if u like using compact startmenu like me.

yes right......... those extra information with icons comes from avedesk.... there's a feature called "submenus" in avedesk 1.2 which can add real time information to avedesk shortcuts.

Hey, You may try Flyakite OS-X. Its a program that makes it all easy, installation is very cool and you have the option to only extract the files n not to replace them
