Episode III - The Video Game

Well ladies and gentlemen, I bought myself the new PS2 and the new Episode III video game. I must say I am very impressed. I’m not going to go into detail about the game, but I will say that it contains more footage from Episode III than I thought it would. It’s almost like I’ve seen the entire movie. One piece of footage (rendered in the game) is at the end of all the bonus videos. If you don’t want to hear about it, then don’t read on. But why would you want to do that?

In the bonus piece, Anakin and Obi-Wan are just about done dueling on Mustafar, and Anakin jumps up, and stabs Obi-Wan through the heart, killing him. Woah. He goes and finds Palpatine who gives Lord Vader (not in his suit because he didn’t fall in lava) his new red lightsaber. Palpatine, by the way, calls him Lord Vader as soon as he finishes Mace off in his office. Anakin, once getting the saber, stabs Palpatine right in the heart, killing him, and the clones don’t quite know what to do, and then Anakin says, “Now, the galaxy belongs to me!” Hilarious and awesome.

I had to pay my mom back $80 and my brother $35, I didn't have enough. And as I mentioned earlier, I couldn't work without at least 768 of RAM and an AirPort Extreme card.

There's a duel mode, where once you unlock characters by defeating them in the single player mode (or cheating), you can use them to either compete against another human player or the computer. You can even play as the old Obi-Wan and Darth Vader at the Death Star like in Episode IV (once you unlock that). There is even a bonus level that you can play as Yoda where clones invade and try to kill Yoda, and you have to ward them all off. It's pretty cool. BTW, I absolutely love the fact that Nick Gillard (stunt coordinator/lightsaber battle coreographer) was cameoed in the game as well as the movie.

Is there two player co-op or is it just versus? The game looks sweet, kinda like Jedi Power Battles, I'll probably pick it up after I see the movie.

There is a co-op mode... but its not as good as the co-op in Star Wars Lego, which is just a blast.

SW Lego has the added benefit of you can kill Jar Jar Binks over and over and over again without any reprisal. Genius!

There is a co-op mode, but its not the same levels as the single player mode. You only get 4 different levels. The bonus levels are awesome though...

I am not really into playing games based on movies, its shorter to watch the movie.

Though I have to wait for its release onto DVD, I'm boycotting Theaters.

I haven't read much on the movie, nor am I a big fan, but from what you can tell, Louie or anybody else that has played the game, does the movie look like it will please the movie goers and does it feel like Lucas bridged Episodes I & II to IV, V and VI together faithfully?
