iCal Not Installed Correctly on Tiger

Hey guys,

When I installed Tiger, iCal didn't install correctly (I think) and now I can't run it. In my applications folder, iCal.app doesn't show the correct icon, it shows the generic application icon and when I try to run it, it bounces once in the dock then closes. Is there any way for me to redownload iCal 2? Is there a way to fix it within Tiger (I have already repaired disk permissions), or can someone send me the program?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I forgot the [Help] tag...sorry mods :(

have you tried trashing ical's preferances?

Well I figured out the problem. My ical.app is 17.5 mb and the full version is 27.3, so I am just going to have somebody send me a copy of it, and see if that works.

Mine is only 11.2 and it works @@_

That's what women say all the time: ITS NOT THE SIZE THAT MATTERS!

Just ignore me, I dont know what I'm saying.

Maybe try deleting the plists and see if that work?

Sort of offtopic, but Stuffit opens in the dock then closes immediately for me... I wonder if this is the same kind of issue?

If you upgraded from panther and didnt do a fresh install, then delete all stuffit related things (plits/prefs/app/ap support), and then reinstall the new version

just reinstall ical..

What pwnzer said. It's on the install discs. If it's a legal copy, you're sorted. Slap the DVD in, click "reinstall applications and classic support" or whatever yours says, and you're done.

If it's not a legal copy, well, you're just fux0red aintcha? ;)

No it's a legal one. I got everything all fixed up and working now. Thanks for all the help you guys :).

Reinstall is usually a fix-all for most application problems. However, failed motherboards (my current problem) can't be solved by a re-install, rofl.
