I think if it wasn't for the wallpaper, that would look like a 1970s concept design

The keyboard looks like a bad ripoff of the apple pro keyboard.

The cctv style webcam makes the whole thing look like it came out of "1984"

I wouldn't pay money for that stuff.

The thing I don't like about it is the arms to hold the web cam and phone looking thing. It looks strikingly similar to the apple cube though not imac.

I bet they wanted to make something similar to the cube but wanted to make it different enough not to get sued. If you look closely though and probably even more so irl you can see that the plastic still is whiteish and a little translucent.

There is also an image on neowin that shows the display kinda looks like the apple cinema display when the base is removed and it's turned upside down.

But hey who are we to judge someone wanting to be like apple. ;) It's kind of interesting to think that companies like microsoft would be moving to be more like Apple.

I think though that people jump on too many things they do saying it's being like apple. I don't think Luna is anything like Aqua apart from they both have spanish like names. Luna has metallic blue titlebars, Aqua has white pin stripe titlebars. Luna has aquare titlebar buttons that show the glyphs all the time, aqua has glassy traffic like buttons and that's just to name a couple of things. The only thing that they have in common is both have sorta rounded corners. But it doesn't take a genius to think hey how can we make a square window different, why round the corners of course.

But in this case I really think it's right, that looks a hell of a lot like the cube.

Ya, the thing looks like a piece of junk from space. I don't know, it looks more like a PC! What do ya know. I dont like it. Go to hell Bill Gates, you'll never come close to Apple's greatness. :P

Latin, that is :)

The whole projects seems to me something like "Hey, you want translucent plastic? We have it, too!"

Something like the multicoloured hardware that came after the first iMacs. Translucent plastic and colour back then, translucent plastic and white now!

Sounds ironic when Microsoft speaks about innovation. Whatever! <_<

Have a nice day!

I have a feeling that whatever is connected with ms whether it's actually by them or not (this is by HP) it'll be always be called crap no matter what. I myself think the Alienware computers look pretty good but I bet people would say they look like crap just because they are PC's. I think better looking cases are overdue for the PC and these prototypes are a step in a pretty good direction though they do need work.

Has anyone realized though that all the past cubes besides the gamecube have failed? The NeXTcube and the iCube That doesn't bode well for the HP cube.

I have to say though if you are going to get on a companies case for drawing inspiration from apple you need to stop doing it yourself. That's being hypocritical.
