It can be installed on a PC running PearPC.
Duckie has some really good instructions on his site on how to install it.
They do need to be updated a bit, but the problems I encountered may be specific to the laptop I was using.
It takes forever and a day... (6 hours on my laptop).
It actualy runs very nice with the latest Prasys builds of PearPC.
Just a note... use the G3 CPU config if you get Spotlight display problems or Preference panels that appear blank.
The G4 CPU emulation is still a bit flakey and causes Tiger to run like crap.
Yeah sure you can, if you try really hard and preform some magic tricks everything is possible.
Buying a Mac also helps.
No magic... just have a LEGITIMATE install disk and it works pretty darn good.
Then drop it in your DVD drive and set your cdrom in PearPC to "nativecdrom" mode.
You still can't boot from it... needs firewire, but you can run the installer from it and install on an empty disk image.
I did have to change my system version number 10.4 on my Panther drive. Simple edit. After that, the installer works like a dream.
But yea... it wouldn't hurt to have a Mac.

Didn't there used to be motherboards that have two different porcessors, (eg, a PowerPC and a Pentium) and if you select windows, it will use your pentium, if you select Mac OS, it will use your PowerPC?
BTW, this was AGES ago.
Somebody should work on making a decent motherboard that can do that. One G5 2.7GHz and one AMD 5GHz.
That would be fast...

Buy the Mac OS X 10.4 disk and install PearPC on your computer. http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/ << that have directions on installing it.
