[Ann] iMac G5 2GHz

I have been waiting for this all of last month and it came LATE!

Apple annoy you sometimes, don't they?

Anyway, The iMac G5 2GHz has now come out, starting at $1,299 USD or $1,999 AUD.

There is no longer a 1.6 GHz model, only 1.8 and 2.

All iMacs now have 512MB of RAM, because Tiger needs 256 and people like to have too much.

The new imacs come with Tiger, your iMac (duh!) and KB and mouse,

Anyway, enough listenign to my crappy writing, have a look for yourself.

PowerMacs now go up to 2.7GHz... (What would that be compared to Pentium? 9GHz?)

apple just dosen't like the idea of selling old computers for a cheaper price. i would buy the 1.6 if they sell it at like 999 dollars.

The good thing about this is that the value of old macs will go down. All iMac G3s under 500Mhz will be worthless and all others will be cheap

No, funnily, mac's tend to maintain their value far much longer than normal PC's - they have a sense of nostalgia attached to each and every one of them. And trust me, the older they get, the "13373|2" they become and people will pay little fortunes for them.

buy a mac mini with the options for blue tooth and keyboard,mouse and wiress ( £ 500 ) and no display...

or

buy a new g5 imac 17" with blue tooth,wireless, display,keyboard and mouse for £ 800

makes u wonder who on earth would waste their money on a mac mini now. when for the sake of a few hundred pound u could have a much faster higher spec'd machine, without the need to shop for extras.

i think i've already made up my mind while writing this... can u guess what im opting for ? lol

i love the fact that they updated the graphics cards. now they are very good for gaming.
