Not Full Maximize

So does anyone know if theres a way to make the maxamize button just inrease the window size to fill just about the full screen, but still not completly Maxmized. I love the "zoom" feature, and this would be a cool windows feature.

Anyone?

if i underood well, i think you can do that with windowFX, you can define the size of maximized windows.

Anyone want to confirm this, I don't have WinFX.

Is the Window still movable if you maxmize it to fill not the whole screen (like in OS X)?

No maximize is maximize you CAN NOT move the maximized windows without un-maximizing (real term?) hope this helps.

There is another program the will do this, but I can't remember the name of it :(

Search Shellcity and Virtual Plastic

AFAIK there is no program that lets you set the maximize size and position seperately for each program like you can on the mac though.

An app I found on virtual plastic worked very well, I think it was called hsi. What is the nicest is that it only effects the left monitor (or primary monitor). I put a 50px space on the bottom for the dock. I hope what little insight I can offer will help.

Here is a link.

I can confirm that you can indeed do this with WindowFX and I can move the window around after maximizing...:)

awesome, that hsi program is great. the only problem is that it doesn't keep the maximized window from being rigid... i do like the margin at the bottom though ;) it's wonderful
