A word of warning in your email

i just want to post this as, yes, you guessed a word of warning... there's a phishing scam going around that i (almost) fell for... i received this in my email (screenshot)... looks pretty legit at first glance, i didnt even notice at first the big banner that would have tipped me off:

"Your credit/debit card information must be updated"

when you click on the link in the email, it brings up a page with the URL:

http://www.billingonlinesecurity.co.uk/sig...dll/sign_in.htm

(not even an ebay site, a UK handle?)

stupidly, i entered my user/password for ebay and just as i hit enter, i noticed that is wasn't ebay and was this UK site...

it brought me to a very legit looking page asking to enter the basic info, name/address/c.c. info, etc... this is when i woke up and went on the hunt for any possible information, found this:

i've now changed my ebay password and email password...

That email looks genuine... Glad I didn't get one...

Besides, Don't you think they would get a domain that looks/sounds like eBay, like eaby or ebya?

or at least eBay.net or updatemyebay.com or something....

Why do these people do this anyway? If they want money they should rob a bank. They would get more and it's just as illegal.
