problem with image sharpness when printing

Hey im trying to make business cards, or name cards,All i have are really big blueprints to go from, so i did everything on those 500X300 or so canvases, text and pictures, then resized it and it looked kinda blurry, and hwne i printed it was horrible!

i have photoshop, and i have tried resizing and im about to throw my printer out the window it sucks so much. It prints blurry, or is that just the result of scaling something roughly 500X300 (forgot exact measures but you get my point) to 336X192 ? I need it to look crisp and actually look like a biz card but it keeps coming out blurry no matter what i do. Gah i need help, please!

BTW my printer is an HP820cse, does it have enuff power to do what i need? or do i need a etter printer and thats why im getting sucky prints?

How many DPI did you used in photoshop, and how many does your printer... uh prints...

I suggest 300DPI

well, the image is always 72 Resolution, (is that dpi?)

always use image size when shrinking or enlarging and make sure bicubic resampling is checked

crisp printing resolutions vary from 150-600 dpi

i suggest 300dpi also...

uhmmm Dots Per Inch... thats DPI

when creating a new doc FOR PRINTING, check that it says 300 to 600 (300 is the basic)

Create your thingies... then print!

Don't scale anything down! To get business card-quality printing, each image should be at least 600 X 1050; that will let you print to a standard business card size (2 X 3.5 inches) at 300 dpi (dots per inch). 72 dpi is a typical monitor resolution, not for printing.
