Help!

I was just wondering if anyone knew what a good program is for changing icons of files and folders

those are just a few hope those help

even though i'm not the biggest stardock fan, i'd say use iconpackager cause it changes the most icons and they stay changed, where with the other apps the icons tend to go back to defualt...

lol i was hoping to stay away from iconpackager. you see, i started changing all my files and folders using iconpackager and it seemed fine up to the point where i installed the newest version, 2.12. From then, every time i try to change the icon for say a bmp image, it changed my jpeg and gif images to that icon as well. the only file that seemed to change with the program was the recent documents icon which happened everytime i cleared my recent documents. I also encountered the fact that some folders like Program Files can't be changed, and that individual drives don't seem to change as well, even though there is a "Individual Drive Mode" in the program. Sorry that i'm just rambling on about iconpackager. If i were to install either Icon Phile or E-icons, are there worst problems then the ones i mentioned above? or do just some of the icons change if i used those programs?

I use iPhile mostly and have never had any problems with it...

I have heard a few people have had problems so do a bit of info browsing if your concerned.

Give it a try though...

It's built in in WindowsXP already. Right Click on folder ---Go to Properties.

Certain critical folder icons cannot or should not be changed via this method (Windows Folder). There are ways of changing them but it is not recommended.
