Firefox as windows explorer?

Is it possible to use Firefox as the windows explorer?

being able to rename files or select them, thumbnail pictures, etc...

I can browse my computer using it, but with no thumbnails or renaming capabilities.

If this works, Firefox could be the new finder for windows users.

This post is to know if there is some possibilities or not that somebody here may know. Thank you.

no, no, no, no, errr, no, no, no aaand no.

and why would you want to do that?

do you even know the difference between a web browser and a file browser/shell?

do you think that (Windows) Explorer and Internet Explorer are the same thing?

i can understand his confusion. if you type c: into internet explorer, it does open your c drive. some people might not notice that the buttons and menus change, however, to windows explorer. but you can do VERY BASIC file browsing in firefox. firefox treats your directories like, well, like open www directories.

but, no, you can't.

Well, his confusion may also be spawning from the fact that in KDE on Linux, Konqueror does everything at once. File browsing, internet browsing, to I think, even a text editor of sorts.
