a problem with firefox toolbars.

i can't really describe my problem,

but i can't see any commonly used buttons and text imputs.

all i see is the edit view go bookmarks tab tools that are supposed to be hidden by compact menu.

my screenshot is a lot better explaining it.

this happens 1/4 of the time when i open a new window.

Imho, this happens when the buttons, search bar and navigation bar have been placed on the Navigation Toolbar.

Right click on the toolbar and check Navigation Toolbar.

Drag and move the buttons and bars from there to the space above the navigation toolbar.

Right click on the toolbar again and uncheck Navigation Toolbar.

If you need my modded Compact Menu with the Apple glyph, drop me a line and I'll send it over to you.

Also, you can enable support for the Compact menu extension by going in to your theme's .jar file, opening it in WinRAR and navigating to browserbrowser.css. Delete the last section pertaining to compactmenu extension support.

Restart Firefox.

That's how I got it to work ;)

actually, i am not using the navigation toolbar. also, what kind of theme are you talking about? where?

edit: now i know what you are talking about it's Safari_safari.jar in the documents and settings section.

also, another few and new problems. one, sometimes when i press ' while typing in forums, Find comes up inturrupting my typing.

other, is now i have this apple icon insead of the dimple. i don't mind that, but when my mouse hovers above it, it becomes like this.

The Apple compact menu is in your email. Have a peek ;)

I would suggest moving it next to the bookmark icon on the bookmarks toolbar folder. Like so : http://www.deviantart.com/view/17788147/

The find coming up suggests a custom shortcut key somewhere perhaps - I have never had this problem myself.

the find coming up is not due to a custom shortcut key it has to do with the options setting in advanced for accessibility. check if "begin finding when you begin typing" is checked.

damn. find still pops up when i press ' (it poped up when i pressed that damn letter thing) i want to disable find and never be able to bring it up. how? i don't (arrgh! not again!) need find.
