[help] Hide Tasks In Taskbar?

anyone know any way to hide tasks in taskbar?

I don't want to use OB, bcoz I still want the start button and all the stuffs in there.

I have tried a utility called MyDesk, it does the job. but the problem is it does not remember the settings after reboot.

please help me if anyone know. thanks.

I think that there's a program called Hide It or something similar, but it hides the complete app, can't remember if it could hide only the task in the taskbar, maybe you want to try it out...

If I remember well, this value is for only icons tasks.

I cant remember if you have to add the key or modify its value.

I think that with an even lower value you can hide the icons too, but I didnt try it.

There's a little app named MyDesk that will let you turn it off totally, it works wicked with the new MobyDock

Oops should have read your post more carefully, you can just right click the tray icon and turn it off again after-rebooting... mine does stick after re-boots though. Do you have it set to start automatically with Windows from inside the app? I found using a shortcut I made in the Startup folder isn't the same as that checkbox as odd as that sounds.

man, I still can;t get MyDesk to remember the settings. I have tried to reinstall it, and there's an option to make the program run at startup, but this does not solve the prob. It run with default setting, ie taskbar will be display.

There is no option to make it run at startup though in the app itself.

if you guys know why or any other way.. please help me. thanks
