[Release] Millennium Falcon
this is awesome thank you!
It needs some better textureing and some bump maps. IT lacks debth.
Yes...I should have left the 'motion blur' alone...but I wanted an 'in yer face' effect here...more to come however...
Wow, this looks very good. Great detail, I wish I had PSing skills like that! ![]()
Here's another angle...do feel free to mod the image to your requirements...prob the last falcon image from me...
More soon...
Thats pretty eff'ing talented. Good job man. The textures could be better, but that still owns..
that would make an awesome vector
Looks better but its in bad need of antiailsing. I think if you ran it through a vector render that would be way awsome.

cool. thanks
nice job ![]()
is that a photoshopped image, or did u 3d model its (as in 3ds max or blender?)
It's a good start. A solid effort. The background is nice and the colors are great.
But I just gotta ask. What render engine are you using? You are having serious anti-aliasing issues. Try the different filter settings for this (Box, Triangle, Gaussian, etc). Gaussian always gives the best results. Crank it up as high as you can. Also the depth map shadow settings look like they are right out of the can. You might consider using a raytracer or GI renderer to improve the look without having to expend much more effort. Your texture map placement is excellent but the maps seem to be suffering from the problem of low resolution. I think if you improved the resolution on those your results would improve tenfold.
Over all an excellent effort. My comments aren't meant to criticize unnecessarily, but meant to help. I do 3D film work for a living. You are most certainly free to ignore them as they were completely uninvited. =) Regardless, keep up the good work.
Many thanks for your reply pazl...the model was rendered in Celestia (google it), a free universe simulator. There are many issues texturing models in celestia however and yes the texturing is quite low res...a tiled jpg in fact...
As far as anti-aliasing goes, I've racked it up to its limit using my vid card...only a Gforce2 but this can only be improved by spending more cash!
I'm a bit of a beginner in this field so your comments are very encouraging...thnx.
well dude, for a begginner thats pretty tight work... im a 3d modeller, and that is pretty damn good if u r such a ****....
edit---
isn't the konfab urban dictionary helpful sometimes...
the **** at the end of my post is meant to be a friendly, tech0svvy way of saying new-comer... however it seems to have been bleeped... searching this word (no0b) returns 'nubile'
how odd... better not say that one anymore...
Great, thx.
But AFAIK the render is done using the CPU not the GPU at least with Maya
unles you select hardware rendering.
