[question] why can't i? (menu)

Why can't I rightclick on expanded menu items for the dock? (ie click and hold on an icon, directory contents expands into dropdown menu, when trying to rightclick on these contents, no menu shows up)

there is also a lack of scrollwheel support in these expanded menus.

any ideas?

This is probably because the items are losing focus and don't function as standard Windows menus do. I had this problem too when I used dock menus for launching programs or files inside folders.

I made the switch to Stardock RightClick a couple of weeks ago and ever since then, my life has been one organised bliss. Everything I need is on my right click and I customised all my less used - but certainly useful - shortcuts to be available at a right click. My taskbar and Systray are there too Yes, it does support mouse scrolls and you can have folders popup their contents as menus. Only the more frequently used shortcuts now go to my dock.

I know this is not a direct answer to your question, but perhaps this is one of the better alternatives worth considering if you are a power user
