Shutdown dialogs

is there a way to skin Shutdown dialogs? i don't want to use windowblinds, is there any other way that this can be done?

you'd have to reshack a few system files... if you're just looking for an aqua theme for theme, the flyakite osx 2.0 transformation pack will theme them for you :-)

edit the msgina.dll found in c:windowssystem32 directory....

To change the logoff and shutdown dialogs you have to mod both msgina.dll and shell32.dll

There is a tutorial somewhere I think... because that's how I got mine done. I guess you should google for it.

iShut is probably the best but I have made some of my own logoff/shutdown dialogues.

They are nothing like the ones from Mac OSX but they use pinstripes, the apple logo, and i think they look pretty cool. heres a screenshot (follow the link)

the button down the bottom right obviously changes with the theme (in this case i'm using an orange mac theme).

Its not a replica of OSX logoff/shutdown, nor are they fantastic, but they are simple and work, and look OK.

do you want the bitmaps for reshacker? or do you want the msgina/shell32 files?....

or are they too crap?

i donwloaded that iShut thing, but isn't it just to put in your objectdock? if someone has a tutorial, that would be so great! searched google, no luck

haha i just reshacked msgina.dll. the result: http://www.neowin.net/forum/uploads/post-2...-1114485361.png

it's a pretty easy hack to do once you get the hang of it.
