[Help] (Font?) Problems in Windowblinds

Guys I really don't understand. It doens't matter the mac skin I download, all of them look crappy and fonts throughout the windows menus etc don't match in type or size. I guess it's a font (config?) problem... Since I imagine a lot of people use it and it must look fine (I don't se anyone complaining about it). So... I'd like to know what to do... I'm kinda lost on this issue. If screenshots are needed I'll take some later and post here ok? Thanks in advance.

Please install any fonts required and try again. What fonts you need are usually included in the skin or described in the readme that comes with the skin. You install a font by taking the font file and dragging it into the C:WindowsFonts directory.

No, no, I have them all installed etc. I have a reasonable knowledge about computers so I can try something more advanced (in case it's needed). Right now I have like 10 Mac and Lucida fonts... I guess missing fonts aren't the problem. That's why I'm asking here. Do the fonts in Danimator's skin, for example, look all matching and perfect? Here they look kinda weird :slant: Thanks anyway Jester.

Well, you probably tried this but I'll ask anyways, did you uninstall your existing fonts and install the ones that come with the skin (if it does come with fonts)? Furthermore, did you turn on ClearType?

Cleartype in on, for sure. I'll try to uninstall the existing ones as you say, and reinstall some of them to see what will happen, but there are, let's say 'bad' fonts that I may have installed and are causing this? Anyway is there any site out there where I could get these fonts all ok, or at least most of them? Thanks again man for answering.

Well, I don't know whether you installed these "bad" fonts or not, but more than likely it sounds like you installed a "bad" version and your themes are using them now. The best way is not to download the fonts from random websites but to use the fonts that often distributed with themes themselves (like in the same .zip file for instance). If your theme doesn't come with fonts (most don't nowadays actually), then I recommend you search these boards for Souless's fonts pack or Iceman's fonts pack as those versions were designed to emulate the OSX versions more closely, and you probably can't go wrong with either one.

Yes, it was something like this. Some different fonts had (no idea of how) the same name and windows was 'confusing' them. Now things are looking better. And well this problem wasn't just in windowblinds, but mainly. I guess they thought about the title and then moved. Thank you man, that kind of solved the big problem, but to reach the real thing I guess I'll have to edit the skins by myself. Thanks man you've been very helpful.
