Roots .9 Skin, (shinobi)

would i need to get permission to make a skin for this(roots, for shinobi skin)?

but, as i a mmaking it right now, i have ran into a problem, for the title bar, i dont really know how to make that "Shinobi" bar, for the title part. could somebody show me how? is there any tutorials on it? because this is my first skin. i have tried extracting the resource from the WB skin but, when i make it the right size and whatnot when i look at it its all blurred across it. i dunno how to fix. and its stretched waaaayy far. i fixed how to not make the black spot so long, but blurring is the real prob.

All you have to do is set the margin where it doesn't stretch at the top to be a higher number on the left than it is on the right. The number has to be after where the black cap ends. I don't know if roots has an option for this in it's skinning format but that's what you need to do.

BTW, I'm not totally sure about this but I kinda think that takashi threw his hands up and said he has to give exception to all those who want to port. But don't take that as gospel.

For what it's worth though I myself don't mind if you attempt to work on this and I don't mind if you took those bitmaps that you got from a WB skin from mine. I believe in the sharing spirit.

and, i know what you mean with the margins, i just dont think roots has the options for it, i have looked around and cant find it, so i solved it by just making the source bmp to where the black part is super small. that works, but the blurring still occurs. thats what i am having trouble with right now.

Sorry I missed what you said, which titlebar are you talking about? If you mean the shinobi I did that with the top stretch setting in WB.

I don't have any of the original bitmaps for shinobi though I went by screenshots and how I like things.

I took the preview from resexcellence and I selected the titlebar and I copied and pasted to a new image. I removed the text with a 1 pixel brush or clone tool.

well i figured it out, its a little off center and when i try to fix it doesnt work to well. so, i still need a little help. but, it seems even the people i sent my stuff to are a little busy(i think, i dont really know what they are doing, no replys or emails ), so it might be a while before its done.
