[Help] Where is BOMArchiveHelper app located ?

Hello people, I come back from the army for 2 days beacuse I'm a bit sick, anyway I strat to replace the sysyem files Rimshot DOCUNiUM files, but I jus't can't find where is BOMArchiveHelper (the app that opne the Zip files) located, someone maybe know where can I find the app in my sysetm ?

Unfortunately, and this is why I dislike Tiger, the Spotlight search feature doesn't search outside the user's home folder with a few exceptions.

Here's an excerpt from Apple's support article on where Spotlight searches:

By default, Spotlight will index and search in the following locations:

  • All Home folders (local and network-based, as well as FileVault and non-FileVault). This includes:
  • The Documents, Movies, Music, and Pictures folders.
  • The Trash of all users and each mounted volume.
  • ~/Library/Metadata/
  • ~/Library/Caches/Metadata/
  • ~/Library/Mail/
  • ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.AddressBook/Metadata/
  • ~/Library/PreferencePanes/

Spotlight also searches these non-Home folder locations by default:

  • /Library/PreferencePanes/
  • /System/Library/PreferencePanes/
  • /Applications

Thus you will not be able to find BOMArchiveHelper in Tiger via Spotlight.

But you'll be able to search the Trash of other users!

A big bump, but I agree with you. I excluded my Trash from Search Results...why on earth would I want to search my trash? Anyway, people seem to forget Spotlight isn't the be-all and end-all of searching in Apple...you can open a new window and use the search bar in the upper right, or even use Terminal (and the locate command).
