iPod photo for AveTunes !
Finally, it's kinda finished. iPod photo skin for AveTunes.
Please Note :
It's a pretty big desklet, so it's ideally intended to use on higher resolution screens.

Installation :
Download and run .AveInst file, and that's it.
This Skin uses "Myriad Web" font.... Download from given link :

Maybe you should add an option to just see the screen, and hide the rest. still givin' you that ipod feel?
Maybe use the real progressbar graphics? and is it possible for you to have the - and + times finished/to go like the real one? and the text w/ the right font [myriad] and weight [normal]

Please excuse me, but I do belive that I used the actual progressbar graphics.. used from Photos provided on Apple website... and the Font used is Myriad Web since I had trouble viewing Myriad font in the skin... as a matter of fact, I was going to post about this since I could only see TTF fonts in avedesk, anything else.. OpenType or Type1 do not work in AveDesk. I'm not sure if it's my system problem or AveDesk limitation.
Anyways, I'm in process of improving... so I expect you to neglect these little inperfections. I will definitely take attention at your suggestions, and will improve further.

Have you taken the time out to visit Apple.com to see the colour iPod screen? Then perhaps scaled the image 50%? Then you would see that igo has used the graphics to a 1:1 effect to give the best quality.
I'm going to stick you on ignore soon - because all you seem to do around here is condescend and enjoy telling people how thier work isn't up to scratch. And don't start on the 'people need construtive criticsm' speech because you seem to get a kick out of talking down to people. Release your own work and lets see how it should be done - or shut the hell up.

This looks really great, and I really want to use it. When I double-click on the installer package, it does nothing and nothing is installed. Ek!

You can open it up with WinRar and then manually install by placing the "iPod" folder into the skins folder of avetunes. Then it should work. Hope that works for ya.

I really dont mind the size as it really helps the apperance in my opinion. Awsome work mate... Keep it up 
Awesome work iGo. I really really love it, and want it on my desk. 
But i ran into a problem. :slant: There's seems to be alien scrolling text on top of the album art. Why? Its not on ur screenshot of the skin. I may be the only one, since no one seems to have had this problem. What happens is that the text of track name and artist name scrolls on top of the album art, cutting it off slightly. Also the progressbar seems to be offset for me too. Here's a screenshot of the issue: ScreenShot
P.S. I should also mention that i wasnt able to just install it by clicking on the file. I had to open it up by using WinACE.
UPDATE: Okay nevermind, reinstalled avedesk and avetunes. Works like a charm. Thanks for this. Also nice devart gallery. :cool:

Well, first of all sorry for late reply... I've been busy putting my new system and configuring and tranferring the data and all that regular routine.... anyways... Glad that you got rid of your trouble about incorrect display of texts in the skin...
as far as installer goes, I wonder what could be wrong... but I must look into it as many people mentioned it. funny thing is it's not working for me also now... on my new system.. lol. Guess I need to stop being smartass and really work on my skills. I guess it's time to pay more and proper attention to builiding avedesk installer. :cool:

Well... you can always use the AvePOD skin which is like iPod influenced version of Default AveTunes Skin by andreas. Offcourse, you will miss the album art in that... , but the good part is (I don't know when but) whenever I really get some time, I'll think about smaller version.. Not really actual iPod but alike.. maybe... who knows how my creative juices will flow... :cool:
yo 'igo'. The other day i was thinking about what kind of skin i would make if i had the skills and i was thinkin, i might think about flipping the ipod so its horizontal, and then flip the screen and button too. Wonder what that alien ipod would look like. 
And 'Nico' you can always reduce the size of the whole desklet using some basic calculations with the calculator. Tried it, it reduces the whole ipod along with the screen and i didnt like that....But i guess just wait for iGo to get his juices flowing :cool:
