Script to read Outlook Data

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how to get a script to read data from and Outlook file. I'd like to be able to create a new SysStats desklet to display the next few items in the Outlook Calendar.

Also, is it possible for a SysStats desklet to provide a balloon-type object on hover? Would that have to be a new object that would appear on hover, somewhat like the controls for the Desktop Picture?

Sorry if I haven't been using the right terminology.
