but it is not apple-style really...doesn't "blend" like the panther aqua or jaguar aqua..even the tiger aqua blends sorta.

I think all of your wallpaper are absolutely beautiful (some of the best I have ever seen); however, they seem to lack in clear quality. Please don't take this in the wrong way because I am not bashing your work at all. Maybe it is just me (using an LCD screen) but the wallpapers always seem a little too blury and not clear. This may also be the fact the you are saving the images in jpg format. Is anyone else noticing this? Maybe try png format?

I notice the blur, which is the whole concept of the effect in this wall, and you're right about the JPG thing, it's losing quality, I can see the lines of the gradient, maybe we should start saving them as PNG eventhough they will be alot bigger in filesize...I dunno

Yeah, its a bit too colorful for my tastes, but a quick saturation adjustment layer and BAM instant graphite-y version.

i meant i *liked* the color one, but have my doubts about the graphite version.

i think with this wall, the highlights work well in the aqua version, but are just too bright in the graphite version: showing up instead as just a lot of white. on the other hand, the panther default graphite wall has so much subtle variation going on, and is much easier on the eyes methinks. /end pseudo-critique

This is my interpretation of what I would make for a default wall - it uses more of the blue as used in Tiger. I never copy or attempt to emulate a certain look .
