[Request] Is there an Aero/glass like theme for MSStyle or WB

Guys i need a trasparent vs or wb theme. where can i get the aero or glass like theme.

Currently, Windows XP by itself doesn't support transparency since all windows consist of bitmap components. The .bmp format doesn't support transparency; only .png and .gif does.

In case you wish to have some degree of transparency with regular VS, these are your options :

YzShadow - makes menus and start panel transparent

StyleXP - makes menus, start panel and taskbar transparent

Windowblinds - ditto

Use the Longhorn style themes with these proggies and you're set.

If you wish your entire window to be transparent, try Glass2k. It's a freeware, lightweight proggie which does this and can be found here :http://www.snapfiles.com/download/dlglass2k.html

If you want full glass transparency as supported in Longhorn, your only alternative is to grab a beta of Longhorn since many of these transparency features are not fully supported in Win XP.

Just like StyleXP, it allows for varying levels of transparency.

Where it differs from StyleXP is that it allows for individual windows to have different settings - eg. you can have 80 % transparency for Firefox and 50 % transparency for Explorer. This is a really cool feature which can let you take some awesome desk screenies

It's a small 55k freeware proggie which doesn't need installation, runs in the background and responds to hotkeys. Try it out and you will be pleasantly surprised. I was too, when I was in the Longhorn phase of customisation
