Firefox lag issues

I've been running Firefox for a while and have noticed that it lags significantly when certain visual styles are applied. This applies to only a small handful of msstyles (of which Enigma 1.2 is one regrettably) and to literally ALL WindowBlinds visual styles. When I have these visual styles applied, Firefox launches slowly (as the interface is slowly displayed on the screen) and after that, page scrolling and browser operations lag too. This does not happen if I switch back to certain visual styles (most msstyles do not lag). I'm interested to know if anyone has this problem and if they have found a solution.

Even I have the same problems. I had emailed Stardock support about it and they say they know about the issue and working to fix it. In the meantime, you have use the Per Application setting to exclude Firefox.

i get the feeling that everytime you create a new tab, wb tries to skin it as if it is a new window briefly, and then the error is corrected.

its only really annoying if I have 10+ tabs open.

but with the other sd+ff bugs, overall:

Stardock + Firefox = Mild Irritation

Solution probably = exclude, or per app wbs to just skin the title bar of ff.

Yeah, but I'm having trouble with some msstyles too (not all, just a few like Enigma). Seems to me maybe it's a Firefox thing as my other applications are fine. Personally I've had my fair share of bugs with Firefox and I'd be more than happy to get rid of it if it weren't for the nice Safarifox skins.

I also have a lag problem with Safarifox themes and Thunderbirds' Mail App theme! In Firefox my gogle search bar is broken and browser displays whole images with a strange background! But I've noticed funny thing ever time I start iTunes all lags and bugs disapears! So u wnat to browse then start the music ;)

Hmm...unfortunately I do have iTunes playing but that doesn't seem to help. It used to be that if I opened a program (such as Notepad), maximized it, and placed it right behind Firefox it would work, but not anymore.

try firetune. i use it to make it a bit faster. but i don't know if it helps your problem or not go to www.majorgeeks.com to find it

Thanks, I just downloaded and tried it. It didn't solve the problem, but I like the program and will keep it.

JesterMania,

I had exactly the same problem till it made me go insane. At last I decided to uninstall and reinstall firefox (you didnt think I was going to recommend IE, were you??? :P ). Worked out for me, and while I normally am the last person to recommend a reinstall, you might consider it for an app that you (well, I do at least) use all the time.
