Please Help On Running Samurize Config

Greetings,

I'm new to Samurize and just install it on my WindowsXP platform (with WindowBlinds 4.0, ObjectBar, and ObjectDock enabled).

Somhow, I download a weather script but it looks like that there is something wrong on execute the config file. I can see the PNG image on the screen but there is some weird message on it " [Not Yet Executed]" instead of showing correct weather information.

Since my knowledge on software is next to zero. I am not quite sure if my system is able to execute VB script without problems.

Any clue to tackle this glitch is highly appreciated!

Do a search. It is too hard to configure. It is not user friendly. There are long threads with explanations written already about 1-2 months ago.

Thanks for the tip. Sorry that I just register to Aqua-Soft today and don't know lots of activities here in the past. I did do the search as you suggested but only four threads (including mine) regarding Samurize showing (I could be using the wrong search criteria).

Anyway, thanks for your clue.

BTW, you should have done a search for any date (the default is 30 days)

Very nice to see your note (especially to find that you had the similar problem that I bumped into).

And, yes, I did the new search for scanning the past 1 year on the Samurize related threads. I did scrutinze the links you posted but could not get useful clues by reading through them (most likely it was due to my poor knowledge on software stuff, I'm doing the chip design, hence, don't know well enough software tricks to get things work).

My assumption was that the weather script should be working once the proper path was specified at the config file or even script file(s). I didn't mind to see the weather information of the default city be displayed on my screen by running these scripts, instead of showing the city I like (like Austin). However, I still failed to get those weather scripts working correctly. I have tried other scripts, such as digital clock with Aqua blue outlook, and they work just great. So I got stuck and don't know how to move on.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the tips.

i did, i have the weather plus script and for some reason it keeps saying not yet activated. I also followed the exact directions. The only thing was I didn't see a weather.cache so I went to the weather interceptor website as instructed and saved my city's XML.

Anyone who knows what they are doing please let me know, cause it seems for some people they just figured it out but I've been trying for a while and the sh## doesn't seem to work

Mmm, I have reinstalled that weather script (at least the one that was over here) and I am experimenting the same problem. Tough it used to work...
