I never created multimedia work. I really need a guide.

I was just watching the welcome to OSX video by apple.(It is sooo cool) I want t do something similar to what they've done ( for school ). Which app did they use?

try Cinema4D. they used static models of words (welcome) added spotlights, and set the camera on a track, then added in some music.
