I'm Kind Of Angry

I was at aquaxp.com checking things out when I checked out the WB4 versus visual styles thread. A guy mentioned me but he says my stuff don't come out fast enough and have lots of things wrong with them.

I never heard a peep out of anyone on what could be wrong or any suggestions on what to fix. It's like I'm supposed to read their minds. I put tons of work into my stuff and tweak the hell out of them and look what thanks I get. None, I get people slandering my stuff on message boards.

I tweak things all the time and improve things but I can take suggestions. But if no one makes any suggestions then I naturally assume I'm doing ok. But then I go to a message board and I see someone saying "he doesn't release them fast enough and when he does they are full of things that are wrong meh meh meh".

Most of the things I have fixed I found and fixed MYSELF. No one ever gives any feedback.

This is enough to drive a person to quit. I work hard on my stuff, very hard.

Hello smoke.

I think people are 'scared' of you to suggest somethings, since you are a very straightforward person. But let me reassure you that you and your work is a great contribution to the aqua community. I enjoyed your aqua theme very much once it had came out and i am awaiting some themes made by you so that the quality is present there. I know you take your time to work on your stuff thats why it is very nice, but some people just cant be pleased. Now that we know you are reacknowleding your acceptance of constructive critism, people will contact you or tell you if something can be changed to make it better or if they find a bug. I also urge you NOT to quit just because of one certain comment. Many people, including me still admire your work and envy the effort you put into it.

i need say little because shak said it.

i personally mention your site anytime someone says wb skins. i consider it the first place to go. ive done it in my tutorial, in the forums from time to time, and very often when a **** comes in the irc.

i basically haven't had much to respond to you about, ive just been so happy to have the ones that you have made.

and like shak said, if i did have something to complain about, i don't think i would have the balls to tell you, but i will try to in the future.

I'd be pissed off too. I am a skinner myself (I just don't make any Apple emulating skins) and I know the hard work that goes into skins. I love your stuff and I hope you don't pull all your downloads or stop uploading new stuff because of some inconsiderate idiots.

no! we <3 smoke! plus, you kind of have to assume that we (everyone besides that guy) don't find much faults with your skins.. i mean, if they were glaring and annoying we might speak up... or at least that's how i think of it.

Don't worry about jerk-offs like that, dude. They are totally unappreciative of the work other people do. If he's so damn perfect, why doesn't he go out and make his own skins? You do this stuff for free and you share your ports with everyone. You owe no one anything.

You gotta remember, there are dysfunctional people out there who just love to go out on the internet and make life miserable for others. They actually find pleasure in doing so. Now, I haven't read this guy's post so I don't know if thats the case with him. But from your post, it definitely sounds like this guy needs an attitude adjustment.

Good job with the skins and keep up the good work. I know I've got some of your skins here on my HD and use them from time to time. I'm sure there are alot more people like me that have enjoyed your ports.
