Copy File Dialogue Box

hey all i was intrested in changing the Dialogue box in windows when you either copy a file or you are downloading a file from the internet, more along the lines of the bar animation that builds up as the copy or download makes progress

i think it is and avi file but not sure. does anyone know where i can find a good tutorial on how to make a customized one and what software to use. Or know anyone who has made some cool new ones with instructions on how to install them. also if anyone knows how to add a nice sound or could provide one while a file is being copied or downloading that would be cool too, thanx for any help

are you using Windowblinds??? it changes all what you r talking about, i mean, animations. If the skin comes with animations you try them or leave them to the default. what about Flyakite osx? it changes all animations too, but directly to the sys shell but its the same animation for all things, copying delting moving downloading etc... you may try to change, but i dont know if its secure. the avi file must be in certain color bit config. and you need reshacker and replacer to modify and to replace the "shell32.dll"

hope that helped

Actually its not that hard, because ones you have all the resources you need (all icons and stuff) you can make that avi file in about 15 minutes in ImageReady.

as i rememer, u just replace the icon in shell32.dll with the AVI files u want, then u get there. it is easy. I'd ever replaced it several time with the replacer.

its not the replacing part thats a worry

its the making of the animation

***the animation is very easy... All you need to do is make a motion image (GIF) in ImageReady, and export is as AVI.
