Aqua-Soft ForumsHey guys, I know outlook can use hotmail's POP3 no problem, but I can't seem to get the email notifications built in to mobydock to work. I tried using hotmails .asp link as the POP3 server with my correct email and password but no dice!!

yea, there is no such thing as Hotmail POP3 
Its not IMAP, its HTTP.
You need to get a POP3 proxy for hotmail. Check freshmeat.net for a bunch of them. Its easiest to do in Linux, but there are some windows ones. Keep in mind, they are not that easy to set up.
on windows u can get a little program called hotmail popper which will allow u to access hotmail via pop3 mail clients...u could also try the hotmail proxy that comes with Foxmail (and then just get rid of foxmail)...there's other programs out there but i cant remember anymore. Hope that helps...
That's why I said "or something" because I was not 100% sure but I know it's not POP3.
wow, that Hotmail popper is great. Its the first one ive seen thats easy to get working. Super cool. 
Now I can use Thunderbirds great Junk mail control for Hotmail. Goodbye penis enlargement!
