[help] for a knowledge base (faq)

i'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but...... can someone help me with a knowledge base on my website? its gonna be one using a paid subscription but as long as you don't give out the password once i put it in and help me with a few things you'll get free access. its for computer trouble/help. i need help with:

the layout

i need help with making a question tree thats easy to follow.
the questions/topics

i need somewhat detailed but not too long questions and answers that new users would ask
i need a free user system written in php, perl, or cgi so i can easily let people in to my knowledge base using usernames and passwords and one tht if possible, somehow loads the page with the user system instead of a redirect.

i'll give anyone who wants to help access to the admin section with a limited account that can't mess with the logs, admin users, backups, or main configuration. i would really appreciate it if i could have some admins to help me with it. thx

You'll find that this'll take a fair bit of time, and would usually cost a bit if you wanted a pro to do it. I'm afraid I don't have the time to do it for free (because that's what it equates to really - why would your KB be of any use to us at A-S?) so sorry, but I for one can't do it.

I think I can equivocally, 100% say that your statement is wrong - you will find many small projects (heck even you are working on ForAqua) going on around AS, along with people donating, supporting and creating for other members.

Second - leave the nagging to the mods.

Thirdly - the response the BigB!

I would recommend that you thouroughly research your subject before launching into a full site - let alone charge for it.

You do realise there are quite alot of free sites already?
