Objectbar And Shadows

Is it possib. to add shadows /WFX II/ for the OB panels which have different shape.

I mean not rectangle.

eg. the official Mac osx dock menu panel with the down arrow at the left side.

Or, can OB work with pngs or just bmp.

IF IT IS POSSIB., Ill BE ABLE TO DO SOMETING WERY INTERESTING FOR U.

Anybody???

I cant really say Ive ever tried seeing if it shades panels with different shapes like you said and ObjectBar supports targas which are like pngs.

Targa's (.tga) are like bmp's with an alpha channell where PNG's have compression and are related to gif. Ther was a discussion on the WB newsgroups as to which would be better and they said .tga because a .png would have to be decompressed anyway when the skin is loaded so the only benefit in a skin would be smaller size on the disk.

One problem with drop shadows on ObjectBar is that if you are using it to emulate the finder any icon up near the menubar will have a shadow overlap. I have its better just to turm off shadows on Objectbar unless you are using it for something else.
