[WIP] foraqua: Aqua-soft dedicated blog.

Hello everyone.

Currently, Vague and I have been working on a blog that will keep everyone up-to-date on the releases that are published here on the Aqua-Soft forums. Basically, it is just a blog that people will be able to watch for the many valuable releases that are scattered here on these forums. All of the releases will include: beautifully managed previews, that will tell you exactly what's being released. The name of the author, the thread where it was originally released, and the specific place to download the releases.

It will also be as such, that the readers will be able to leave comments on our blog, about what they think of the individual releases, and an RSS feed that welcomes everyone to keep in touch of releases, quickly, and simply.

check back from time to time for, foraqua exclusive releases.

The blog is not yet finished, but its current state can be glared at here and because of this, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you're going to post all the releases, it'll take up quite a lot of space with the styling you have there, especially since you have lots of spacing and big text

It looks nice so far, but may I suggest getting an actual .com (AquaBlog.com?) to make it more professional maybe.

Yes, well, one of the things that's being worked on is the layout. It will be totally revamped. This is just the default that we had to work with.

@llamapalooza489, actually, that IS in the works. Projects of this nature need to lift off before they can actually get a future planned.

Blog managed by who? The two of you? Let me advise you on the impossibilty of that...do you know how hard it is to keep something like that constantly updated? We already have something like that...called the Aqua-Soft front page. Even with over 5 people (well, now over 5 people), it's still hard to update.

I applaud you for your enthusiasm, but I suspect it won't last long. Of course, if you have recommendations for the front page, please share them with us. We'll certainly take them into concern.

P.S: By all means, continue doing something like this...I'm not trying to stop you. I just don't want to see something with nice design like this (and I commend you on it) go to waste.

Great work guys, This should be really useful in tracking all the new releases etc. I only have a bookmark straight to the boards, so I don't often see the front page, but this should be a lot more useful. Hope it all goes well.

e.g. mailnobu is doin this all alone and he is doing well! the front-page af A-S is nice, yeah, but the updates shown there are essential. Rimshot icons, avedesk releases, etc.

The expectations to a blog like this are the little things, the "little" icon releases or the things the A-S crew doesn't really care of.

i think it's a good step into the right direction. we should support this instead of opening fire on this guys.

thnx for all your comment's. this page will be more then just a blog, but we have to start with something. I have made a few updates on the layout, and logo. I'll make a better layout when we get a host and a domain.

and nightcrawler1089, u saying we cant do this on our own dosnt help us, try being more posetive next time.

I think this could work well and with regards to NC's comments maybe that is down to the people they have chosen to update the front page? I know that both you guys are really into aqua and therefore will care about the content and quality of your blog. I also agree that somethings that would easily get passed over on the A-S main page will hopefully get more coverage on your site.

To expand on what Magnus said, the purpose of the site is to bring the readers news, quickly and simply.

As many of us know, there have been problems in the past with updates on the main page, and in the near future, ours will prove to be very user friendly.

I like the new logo, but the lighting on the ball doesn't agree with the shadow underneath it.

Also, the design looks too blogger-templatey

BTW I think it'd be wise to have wallpapers, icons, widgets, et cetera in sections.

well, thats becouse it is a blogger-template.. as we said, we are working on a new layout, but for now, we'll use this.. hehe, we will have them in sections, but I dont think it is possibel to do in blogger..
