You need 2 Walls for this effect over the whole day:
1 for day use and 1 for night use...
...and you don't have to move you head! It's hard but the result looks very cool.
You could always take pictures every 30 minutes and have your Mac change wallpapers at the same rate.
Considering all that's behind my monitor is a plain white wall, I doubt this would look incredibly amazing for me.

you can instal a hi- res spy camera, stick it to the back of the monitor, and sync a wallpaper changer to the camera's updates.

Just take a pic of ur monitor.
Find a pic itch u like too have as background.
pen them in ps and pt the pic of ur monitor over the backgound pick on a layer over it, and delete the display. Now u put some icons on it and......FINISHED!

It didn't work. When I move my monitor, the lighting changes and blah blah blah it's harder then it looks.

These are uneditied (Most of them) photos. Thye just did it the hard way. They took an image of the stuff behind the screen and put it as their wallpaper.
Then they took a photo of their screen so it looks like it is see through.
