Png Conversion Help.

Hello,

My site and nonsense super duper lil apps is 75% done. Ok, my problem is how to convert PNG to this one.

128X128 PNG Icon (usually the dock icons)

TO

80X80 or 64X64 GIF With Transparency.

How can I do that? I don't like the manual, the resizing etc. I don't like this way. It is somehow difficult and I can't do it perfectly.

If you have an idea, please feel free to reply to this thread. I will appreciate your help. And also you will be featured on my credits. That is the one I can pay for your good job.

That's easy:

Photoshop use Gif89a plug-in. This is used to make transparent gifs.

Open the PNG on Photoshop---> Image scale to desired size--->Then go File --> Export Gif89a ---> Save

You can create an action and do a whole batch of files:

On Photoshop Go Views ---> Actions----> On the mini Palette click on the small blue arrow by the tabs---> New Action (give it a name)

Now put all your PNGs on a folder (Folder1) and create another folder for your Transparent Gifs (Folder2).

Open one PNG ---> Go to the blue arrow in the Action Palette and hit Record

Do the above steps on converting PNG to Gif and save to Folder2.

Hit Stop Recording

Now go File--->Automate-->Batch

You will get a pop window of the last action you used (which should be the one you just recorded) the Source Folder=PNG Folder1

and your Target Folder=Gif Folder2

You can convert 100s of images in minutes or less.

It seems like a lot of steps but it is not.

Cheers :)
