I just changed my modem and I now have a router (with firewall integrated).
So now my Weather desklet doesnt want to update anymore :confused:
Does anyone knows what port do I need to open ? I dont know which port(s) AveDesk uses...
I searched the forum btw

AveDesk doesn't use any ports. Usage of ports is desklet dependant.
If you use the SysStats weather, go search the SysStats subforum.

It may not be your PC's or internet connection's problem, sometimes weather.com simply doesn't update the weather information. The weather info for Sydney has been missing for almost 4 months now
Just change your city and see if it's working, if it is, that means your internet is fine
Thanks for the hint Duyvan but its still doesnt work. I tried Marseille, France; Central Park, New York and it still doesnt do anything.
Its my router's firewall. I just bought it and installed it. Well at least it does his job well... but if someone know the port, please tell me plz

As far as the aero-weather docklet in Systats (which is what I'm using now), if you go under the Configure option, then meter, then weather, it shows the URL it's using...looks like standard HTTP to me, so it'd be port 80. If you're on the web coming to this site to post your problem, it's not your router because obviously port 80 is working for you since you got here.

I wasnt talking about AveDesk, I was talking about the weather site.
I should have said: "I'm fed up with this crap weather site !"
Because I found that it was their site that screwed up, that's why

for some reason none of my weather desklets/docklets work/// not the one in konfab, or objectdock, or avedesk
Facist, I had the same problem.
My solution?
Go to internet options and reset all your web settings. That is if you don't use IE as your default browser.
Because something may be screwed up with your web settings, and you don't even know it because you're using Firefox!
