OK, I've got this webcam here. It's a 'PC Camera 6025 VGA'. I've followed the instructions, run the install disk and restarted my computer. Plugged the camera itself into USB, Windows makes the 'Hardware Connected' sound and then nothing happens. I don't get one of those little XP Notification ballons in the system tray, and nothing appears under the Scanners and Cameras section of the Control Panel. And thus the camera is no use. XP knows something has been connected, but clearly the drivers I installed from the CD and Windows are not working together.
What's most annoying is that if I plug the exact same webcam in on my other computer, it recognises it and works perfectly. The only difference between the two is that one is running SP1, and the other has SP2. Perhaps that could be the problem? Any ideas? Thanks ![]()
