Trasparent/Glassy Visualstyle

Hi :)

Is there any visual style or program that will make my desktop look like this?

Thanks :D

hehe well I tried a couple of them before and they were different.. I guess I'll try them all now. I would just like those transparency affects and longhorn style arrows/buttons on the exlorer.

i think that is a screeen shot of longhorn

Ya Im almost positive it is. In those files there is an Aero enabler. In longhorn Aero is hidden (kind of) and you need these files to unlock it. Unfortunatly its not for XP,, Im pretty sure, lol.

Bah! :( I was afraid of that because apparently even the taskbar has transparency effects, which I believe is not possible in XP.

Anyways, thanks for all your help :)

You can make, err simulate I guess would be the proper word, a transparent taskbar. Jemaho has several visual styles that utilize his "glassbar" effect making the taskbar transparent. It takes a little of work to do to make the taskbar transparency match your wallpaper, but it looks pretty cool when you get it right. Here is the link: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/13464260/

Yes, I tried a similar deviantart theme but the taskbar messes up when I resize or move it to another part of the screen... It needs to stay locked to make it work.

Roggan, it doesn't need to stay locked. Follow the tutorial that is packaged inside of the theme I mentioned. You can make it work no matter where you have the task bar- but you NEED to follow the tutorial.

You could make Jemaho's VS work on the sides, but he only gives instructions for using ut on the top/bottom.

Hi... Try Avalon :http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/0...on/default.aspx The key for all Longhorn Aero

If that is what Longhorn will basically be like, it actually looks pretty stunning to me :)

when u mod the vs, there are four imagefiles for four position, so you must make sure which position do u use

There is a theme with similar transparency for KDE, but for some reason it never sees the windows that are behind the current on, just the desktop.
