[help]Anyone use Synergy?

I can't seem to get this up and running on my PowerBook (OS X 10.3.8). I've compiled Synergy (click here) from the sources using the usual *nix commands.

Once it's built, I execute "./synergyc mysrerver:port" (with my actual server ip and port). My XP box is running the Synergy server and seems to be running as it should. Once I start Synergy on OS X, the XP box shows it trying to connect, but it then disconnects and loops this process. Basically I'm lost. Right now I'm compiling the source using Xcode, hopefully that'll help it out.

But if anyone has some experience with this, please lemme know.

Are you talking about the iTunes controller?

Why are you compiling it?

Why don't you just download the released binaries from here?

i'm a synergy user / lover for about 1 year now and i've always run the INSTALLER to... erm... install it.

edit: you're not talking about the itunes controller i see now >_<

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. I'm talking about the crossplatform software that allows you to share your mouse and keyboard over TCP/IP.

@esXXI -- I've tried the binaries and thought I followed the instructions as I should, but i was unable to get it to work properly. I'm gonna give it a try again in a few minutes and report back in more detail what's going on.

edit: I figured it out. I forgot to append my powerbook with ".local" the server was getting all confused without this. This is great software.
