It'll either work, maybe, but I think it'd really piss 'em off to get mass-flooded by a bunch of people all saying "Gimme a mac effect!!!" <_<

I DO winder what's stopping Mr. Yamaguchi from adding it to his YzBar options..

I don't think they'd be able to make just the titlebar transparent on visual styles or WB. The problem is the way the windows are drawn.

With the docks, the dock is actually 2 or more seperate borderless windows grouped. This is how desktop and similar apps work.

With regular windows it's just one window. You can't transperize individual parts of those windows in XP\2k. It is possible to skin the window like EFX putting borderless windows around the application as their border but that'd require radically changing your favorite theming application.

There was a discussion about this on the stardock newsgroups and they said they could do it the EFX way. Not sure what came of that though. There are drawbacks to the EFX way.

I am not the expert on how ms styles and WB do it but I know it's different which has it's own benefits and drawbacks. The drawback is you can't put alpha blending into the borders.

If you use the transperizing tool in nview and drag and drop the selection thing to certain windows you can see that you can select sub window classes but you can't transperize them because it's not possible on XP\2k. When you select the titlebar it selects the whole window contents and all.

Avalon in Longhorn is supposed to change this allowing normal skinned windows to be alpha blended.
