[help] blocking internet connection

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a software that allows me to block the internet connection of some computers in my network. I have a wireless router at home that share the internet connection for 5 computers wirelessly. The router has an option allowing me to block the internet connection from a certain period of time (ie from midnight to 8am) but the problem is when I activate that option, there's no connection for all my 5 computers. I just want to block the connection for 1 specific computer in the network. Is there any software that can handle the job? It doesn't matter if it's a payware, I'm willing to pay for good softwares.

lol, I'm just trying to block the internet access to prevent kids going to p0rn sites at night, blocking by key words doesn't work really well.

Really depends on what router and firmware you're using.

With Netgear MR14 (MR something14), you can set it to block all sites from a certain time, EXCEPT for trusted IPs.

Try updating your firmware and rooting around in the settings.

MAC address filtering isn't selective (based on time), at least not for my router. To go on and help you, we really need more information about your hardware.

What router are you using? I have a NETGEAR WRsomethingsomething and it has that option NC was talking about in the router config. So yeah, try updating your firmware.

I got a Netcomm (Australian brand me thinks) it does have blocking feature which can be set for a certain period of time, but the only problem that it blocks the connection on all the PCs connected to the router :slant: :slant:

I can't upgrade the firmware as it's using the latest one :confused: that's why I'm lookin for an alternative way to do so, there must be a software for that no?
