Maybe the third pic with more emphasis on the embedded semaphore lights plus old play buttons.
VideoMann's idea was good... it just looks more "right". Buttons need that bevel surrounding them in order to look more embedded in the brushed look than totally separate and floating (as in 1st case, Aqua). Maybe the bevel should be just a little darker, in order to maintain the effect but don't be so "strikingly" brigh (ok, I know, my english stinks!)
hmm... well, everyone has his own preference. Personally, I wasn't too huge a fan of the sunken buttons when they first came out, but I like them now. The thing with Apple is that you can't really hate their ideas for too long ..
Anyway, iTunes is a Carbon app, and its skinning is different from that of Cocoa (OS X native) apps. So you could change the theme of iTunes without touching the overall GUI theme, and vice versa.. So, in a way, the combination thing Videomann said is possible..

Both, Id like to be able to switch from either one whenever I wanted. But If its a 1 choice Id go with the standard aqua interface.

i dont like the new ifix.. they dont look so nice and 3d as did the others :/

I completely agree, I love the glossy look, but I'd like to change it eventually...

I'm not sure if i can argue for 23 pages about the morality of flat buttons
I'd prefer the original aqua look but with less of an outside bevel on the aqua buttons (i think)

i first voted for the original look ... then i saw Taha's screenshot of the full picture and i think i prefer the new (iFix) look now !! It just seems perfectly "bevelized" ... not too much ... not too little.
okay now..
i like the smoother background of itunes 4, but the play buttons with ifux (pun intended heheh) look horrible. they look like cones sticking out or something.. 
I'm not going to vote. I dont prefer either look over the other. I think they're both great. I guess this means I am a "MacGuy" because I like pretty much everything they do. They are both beautiful buttons created by Apple.

ifux. One of the best things i've heard in a while.
Taha, unfortunatly, i couldnt bring the old look into it.. - thats also cause im trying to make my own skin i'll share with the community (those who have macs can enjoy/puke it).
The background and brushed buttons down there are much better in iTunes4.
The new round buttons suck!

yup.. the new brushed is lovely.
the new buttons rule if you USE them. I mean, if you actually press them, you get a feel for them. Its like a real button studded on a metal surface.
the Music Store can be hidden. I dont even have it displayed in the menu. You can do that in the pref pane.
If you are judging on looks you cannot discuss functionality as an issue to decide.
I like El Pincho Moded iTunes.
The only difference in the brushed skin is a slight blur, not a big deal. It goes to show that 50% cannot see anything wrong Apple does and will accept anything they throw. Had this skin iTune4 been done by an independent skinner , most of you would say it was all wrong and that it was not Mac quality and so on and on. Since Apple threw you a curve most accept it as manna from the sky. iTunes is devolving not evolving in looks.
