[release] Mac OS X SmoothEdge for WindowFX

Mac OS X SmoothEdge

Probably you've never heard of SmoothEdge (unless you have downloaded Longhorn Alternative)

My SmoothEdge skins for WindowFX are not just simple shadows, they also contain extra "pixels"

like borders or anti-aliased corners.

Since I've switched back to the Aqua side recently (with Xero's great Tiger Theme) :P I made a

small SmoothEdge skin for Mac OS X themes. I contains a 1:1 Mac OS X shadow plus the

transparent outline.

If you still don't know what I'm talking about, take a look at this screenie :)

I don't know if there's any skin like this already, I didn't even search :P

I made a skin like that ages ago, hehe, but I never released it, anyway, good job, I have made a shadow like this for pe8er's pm2k5, and a few modifications to the wb skin to make it even smoother, cooming soon...

one tip, if u put some gray pixels on the edges on the titlebar in the wb skin, u will get smoother look..

Nice !

Thanks for sharing.

OS X looks more like his screenshots above I think it's fine the way it is.

same here :(

make sure you check "adjust shadows for shaped windows" to get it right. When you select the shadow, press modify and check that option ;).

Works fine for me !!

Mine is checked, otherwise the grey shadow become bigger.. ;(

I've got this strange problem....

This is cause of your theme image. If your top window frame use 1px or 2px transparent then the shadow will show this.

#263461

Thank you very much! It is great!

All the best,

Don.

#263465

Yeah it uses 2or 3 px transparent, now i will try to adjust it ;)

I don't understand whether this is in regards to the windowblinds theme or the shadow itself... how do we change it?

Also... I don't seem to be able to change the shadow size under 'modify' (option is disabled)

#263484

I have the same problem as Bicet and everybody else... This looks too awesome to miss out on :(

#263497

I only tried my skin with Bz Panther/Tiger and Xero's Panther/Tiger for WindowBlinds.

Probably it's the theme that causes this problem.

I'll try my skin with some other WB themes and VisualStyles myself when I got home.

#263605

This theme works fine with WB theme, it has some problem only with VS

#263607

The one I'm using is Kol's Tiger WB theme

#263822

Err, so.... any news on this?

#266731

Looks good on my WB Bz Panther & CRNI's OBjectBar skins active.

Only thing is I don't notice any difference between my old Mac OS X v.2 rounded and this new Mac OS X SmoothEdge costum shadow plugin for WindowFx.

What should I look for to notice the difference?

#266873

1) This only seems to be working with WB because ported OS X VisualStyles seem to have a small invisible border on the top

2) Whoever made 'Mac OS X v.2 rounded', I didn't. I just created this skin for fun and I don't know if there are other similar/better skins available

@Pantoni:

See attachment. Author unknown. Do you see the difference?

Anyways I've been using your show for a few days now. Looks good.
