Recreated and redone for Avedesk/SysStats 2.5 By Hyral
Here is another version (sigh) with animated roll up and just looks better...
Includes 2 Day and 4 Day versions...
To install:
(Unzip then drag the weathermini.aveinst into the Avedesk Control Panel)
(double-click on the City to change the City Code, and double-click on the Temperature to change the units)
(read the readme for any troubles)

ehm i have problem 
This script doesnt work on my computer and I dont know why. it looks how avedesk can't connect to internet. I have windows xp sp2 and norton antyvirus 2005. Mayby I should change settings in this programs ? Please help !!

Mayby avedesk need special port to connect with weather.com ?
firewall has probably blocked it from accessing the net

How do you get weather from places other than the US since you need a zip code?
Also for some strange reason my icons aren't showing up. I've got them in the icons/konfabulator/
folder as was instructed in the readme.

Download the location finder HERE (right-click save as) and run that or just go to weather.com and seach your city and in the address bar there should be a code like "XXXX0000"...

Eh I dont know, it doesnt show if your not connected, or make sure it is in Sysstatsiconskonfabulator... :slant:

The version I've downloaded from this thread has the fonts set to Microsoft Sans Serif.. that must be wrong?
Isn't it supposed to be the futura fonts?

No it actually uses the Gill Sans Font...
If you do not have it download it HERE...
Install fonts then restart avedesk, and reinstall the desklets...

Perfect It looked nothing like your's in the preview at first... that's weird tho why it's set to gill sans and not the futura fonts like the big weather... well it looks 10x better with the gill sans fonts

I missed one condition, in this example for Wednesday I missed the icon condition. (Rain/Snow Showers)
Did you followed the instructions in the readme?

i only wish that if i enter the wrong locator there would be a easy way to correct it (not going and editing to the .ini file)
btw the locators url should go like that :
one more thing i discovered that this widget makes the shut down of my pc a hour long proces i had to remove it
Each time I try to add this, AveDesk crashes right after hitting "Add". I'm pretty sure I have the latest versions of AveDesk and SysStats.

awsome, i finally got this puppy working. this version is so much better then konfabulators, kudos to you Hyral!
This works beauty-full. I tried putting in the Gill Sans font, but it doesn't come up in the font list when I go to configure the desklet. Any clues?
The font does come up in other programs, (The Gimp, etc), just not Avedesk.
any chance for a link to download this please looks nice
(also trying to find a weather config that dosn't crash avedesk anyone? see bug thread post)
