New Winmac
It's free, unlike ObjectBar. But yes, this version is much better.
Anyway, can anyone tell me what "About This Mac" app is in this screenshot? http://winmac.emuunlim.com/Images/Screenshots/OSX.jpg
It looks great and I want it ![]()

that is built into winmac, just click the about this mac in the menu and it pops up
wow. that's great news! Thanks for the link. It's good to know that WinMac is continually being developed.
ztiworoh: It's not the exact same thing. The one in the Screenshot has meter "bar" built into it. Any ideas.
Anybody else?
WinMac's site still needs to be updated. The screenshots for example, are from the older versions.
I've been using v4.90 for a full day now. No problems... very stable. ![]()
It would be cool if WinMac came with a brushed theme or if somebody hacked it and changed one of the "skins" to brushed. I don't know if hacking WinMac is possible (I just thought of this now) but I'll try it later myself.
There is a new version of WinMac available for download.
And I just read this over at E-Maculation: "And Mike Mallory just told me that he will make a Brushed Metal theme for WinMac, which is an awfully great idea."
WOOHOO! ![]()
Thanks for the update, imtoomuch. A brushed skin sounds great
I hope there would be support for easier skinning later on (I'd love to see the Shinobi theme for WinMac, for example).
For the Mac OS X Aqua view, a suggestion would be to fix the spacing between the words: File, Edit, View etc. They're not that close together in OS X... probably there could be blank tiles/spaces in-between them?
Thanks for a great app, Mike Mallory!
Wow. The beta has a Brushed Metal skin already!
After seeing the WinMac home page, I was looking forword to installing the program and trying it out...The two developers (Mike & Albert) are really putting forth the effort to get to their ultimate goal, a 5x engine for public release...
Unfortunately, I found out from Solo177 (Mike Mallory) @ Emaculation forums that in my scenario (having Iceman's Jag v2.01 theme) installed that "WinMac does not yet take over the menu system of another program"...
It sure looks neat, and being a member of their forums, I will keep checking in every so often to see how further development progresses...
